LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS

Pilgrim Chapel sits nestled in the Historic Hyde Park District on the southeast corner of 38th and Gillham Rd. (northbound). The chapel is directly across from the southern tip of Hyde Park, originally Kansas City’s first public golf course. Click here for map or read directions below.

From the North

To reach Pilgrim Chapel from downtown, take Main St. or Broadway south to Armour Blvd. (35th St.). Turn left on Armour and go east to Gillham Rd. Turn right and follow Gillham south around the park to 38th St. Turn left on 38th St (first left turn after you start around the park). Drive through the park and cross Gillham Rd. (northbound). Pilgrim Chapel is on your right.

Beginning at the Nelson Atkins Museum (47th St. and Rockhill Rd.), take Rockhill Rd. north past the Rockhill Tennis Club (on your right). At 45th St., turn off toward your right onto West Gillham Rd. Follow it down the hill to the stop light at Gillham Rd. (Gillham Park is on your right.) Turn left at the light and head north on Gillham Rd. through the next stoplight (39th St.). Continue north on Gillham Rd. around the curve one block to 38th St. and immediately turn right to park on 38th St. by the chapel.

Take 39th St. west to Gillham Rd. Turn right at the intersection and go one short block to 38th St. Turn right on 38th St.

^{From the West

Take 39th St. east to Gillham Rd. You cannot turn left on Gillham Rd. Go one block past Gillham
Rd. and turn left. Immediately
make another sharp left to circle the island in front of the Boy Scout Memorial
Fountain. You are now headed back west toward Gillham Rd. At Gillham Rd. turn
right and follow it north one short block to 38th St. Turn right onto 38th to
park next to the chapel.

Information

Guests may park on both sides of 38th St. and in front of the chapel on Gillham
Rd.}
