Chapel Resources

Pilgrim Chapel contains 18 pews capable of seating four people in each pew. Couples, should plan on having a maximum of 72 guests at their wedding.

For the bride and her attendants, there is a dressing area with rest rooms and a full-length mirror on the ground floor. In addition, there is a waiting room for the groom and his attendants on the main floor. Pilgrim Chapel, although 60 years old, has new air conditioning and heating equipment to ensure comfortable surroundings regardless of weather. Parking is available both in front of the chapel along Gillham rd. and on both sides of 38th. street.

Because of the chapel’s size, it is helpful to limit the wedding party to no more than four to six total attendants.  This is particularly important if you are having musicians participate in your wedding.

For music, the chapel has a CD and tape player available for your use. If you plan to have “live” music, it works best to limit the number of musicians to no more than three. Quartets are a tight fit. Sound carries very well in the chapel and no sound system is needed for musicians or vocalists. Single musicians-- such as violinists, harpists or guitarists-- work very well in this intimate setting.

The chapel’s original pulpit is available for use by friends or family members who may participate as readers in your ceremony.
