Pilgrim Chapel is committed to promoting the music of local Kansas City
musicians and, as part of this commitment, to recording live performances at the
chapel whenever possible in order to create a of treasury of Kansas City
musicians.

This year, Pilgrim Chapel will sponsor eight concerts. Below is a schedule of
these events.
Kansas City Icons Gospel Show with special guest Connie Dover

Home Concert with Connie Dover and Danny Cox (following the gospel show)

Hyde Park Children’s Film Festival and Summer Concert Series
Friday evenings, July 9, 16, 23 and 30 at the north end of Hyde Park. This is a
free event with concerts beginning at 7:30 p.m. and movies (not yet selected) at
8:30 p.m.

Heritage Musician Series
Each year, Pilgrim Chapel schedules two concerts that are recorded before a live
audience at the chapel. CDs of the concerts are then made available to the
public as a benefit for Pilgrim Chapel. Featured musicians in 2009 were Barclay
Martin and “Fast” Johnny Ricker. Performers for 2010 have not been selected.
However, tentative dates for these performances include the following:
Heritage Musician Concert: Sunday, August 22 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Tickets $10)
Heritage Musician Concert: Sunday, November 7 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Tickets
$10)

Chapel at the Record Bar on January 20. Featured musicians included Walkenhorst
& Porter, Danny Cox, Sara Swenson and The Elders. The benefit raised $5,450 for
the relief efforts of the American Red Cross.
